1. Data We Collect
Medico Health Mate stores all of your health data — steps, weight, BMI, water intake, and blood pressure — locally on your device only, using an encrypted on-device database. No health data is ever transmitted to our servers or any third party. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we retain only your email address for communication purposes. The app uses Firebase Analytics to collect anonymized, aggregated usage data (button clicks, page views, scroll depth) to help us improve the experience.
2. Google Health Connect
With your explicit consent, the app can sync your health data with Google Health Connect. This data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and remains on your device ecosystem. Medico Health Mate does not transmit Health Connect data to its own servers.
3. Location Data
The 'Nearby Facilities' feature uses your device location only during an active search session to find nearby healthcare facilities. We do not store, log, or share your location history.
4. Firebase Analytics
We use Firebase Analytics to understand how people use the landing page and app. All collected data is anonymized and aggregated. We cannot identify individual users from this data. You may opt out via your device's advertising settings.
5. Newsletter Subscription
If you subscribe to our newsletter, your email address is stored with Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) and used solely to send health tips and feature updates. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email. We never sell or share your email address.
6. Your Rights
You may access and delete all health data stored on your device at any time through the app's settings screen. For email data requests, contact us at medico.slimredtech@gmail.com. If you are located in the EU, you have additional rights under GDPR including the right to erasure and data portability.
7. Data Security
All locally stored data is encrypted using AES-256 encryption via SQLCipher. The data is scoped to your app's private storage and is not accessible to other applications on your device.
8. Children
Medico Health Mate is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent and believe your child has submitted data, please contact us immediately.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you by updating the 'Last updated' date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
